One Hope Outreach is committed to God first.  Every individual or family that comes to One Hope receives:

• A Bible with "Recommended Verses" bookmark.
• Church  recommendations to those who wish to attend church but don't have a home church.
• Assistance in finding a mental health care provider if needed.

We are committed to treating everyone with respect, compassion, and understanding, in every situation.  It is not a requirement that those we serve attend church services regularly.

Homeless shelters are often full with a long waiting list.

At One Hope Outreach, we provide temporary shelter while  individuals and families are on the list for the shelters, and assist them in developing a plan to obtain permanent housing.

One week at the facility we use costs $160. One month costs $600.



While participating in our program, families will learn basic budgeting and financial skills. We expect success, and believe that no matter what brought them to us, if they are willing they can become independent.

One Hope Outreach works closely with local nonprofits to best provide for those we serve.

We give referrals to many  programs, including:

• The Kitchen, Inc.
  

• Springfield Victory Mission
• Lifehouse Crisis Maternity Home
• Isabel's House
  
  

And several other local organizations. Please take some time to check out these websites as well. Of course, we need your support; however, we also believe it is important for donors and volunteers to be well informed when choosing a charity.

Bus passes are very much needed, as they are a valuable asset in gaining employment and getting to the food pantries/other resources.

Phones are a lifeline for the unsheltered homeless. Some have pre-paid phones, many are in need of phones or phone cards. This is an asset to them in case of an emergency, and so that potential employers can contact them.
